Okay guys are there any common problems with our car that would set off the Check Engine Light besides the Oxygen Sensor? My car will run really well for a while and then start to shift really roughly! Any ideas of what this could be and how much it would cost? I'm nervous because this might be it for my W202... I'm hoping that the problem won't be too expensive to fix. Quick replies are greatly appreciated.

Where can I buy the code reader for a reasonable price? I'm thinking about just getting one. This is the second time in the three years I have owned it that this happened. On a side note the previous owner took good care of it as have I so I don't want to hear anything about me not taking care of my car.

Your not taking good care of your car.
You can get a free code read and pri.t out from autozone, maybe even pepboys?

Dude what did I just say? I haven't been driving the car because I don't want the problem to get worse and I've maintained it really well.

Is your car a 1996 or newer? If not, it may not have an OBDII connecter unless its a CA car I think.

All US spec w202's are OBDII
If you have an android phone, buy a $20 bluetooth obdII adapter and get the $5 app on the market called "torque"
It's way way way way way better than just pulling codes.

^^^^^^^^^ This.
I have the Amazon Bluetooth adapter, and use the Torque app. So far, I have used it to diagnose a vacuum leak, along with bad O2 sensor, and a misfire (new plugs). Best money I have spent on any diagnostic equipment.
I actually bought a used android phone to use exclusively with the app. Now I can leave it in the car if I wish.

Hah. No way. The app used to exist for the iPhone, but apple had it removed from the app store. Apple doesn't want you to be able to use your iPhone like that.

Sorry about the delay, busy week.
Here is the unit I purchased:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NLQAHS/ref=oh_details_o02_s01_i00
The software is for Android. Works on both my LG, and my cheaply purchased Samsung Intercept ($10). I leave the Intercept in the car for use at any time.
Get it here:

Oh yea, for me Apple = Sadness.
