Oh.. I'm down to help you for free if you get the parts. The only thing is that I've never rebuilt an engine before but I'm up for the challenge

We could go get an engine at ecology, I want forced induction as well, I wonder if we could add a c230 super charger on our m104's

Ya. I'm not sure on that. Anything is possible though. Where are you located?
I just want it done right. My motor is strong still and only has 165xxx but still want a fresh rebuild before I add a turbo.

Yeah.. I'm not a professional but I've worked on Mercedes and BMW's as a hobby and there's not one thing that I started that I haven't successfully completed. I think what you'd spend on what you want to do could cost more than the car is worth

Just can't find anyone around here. And it sucks.

Ya I was thinking 10,000 grand for everything. The car is in perfect condition. I will always keep it.

So I need to figure out where to get all parts needed for motor rebuild including which turbo to choose.
Plus what tools we need for the job. I don't want to use to much boost. I was thinking somewhere 10 to 12.

95 C280 sport straight six

Christopher

theres 18 psi universal turbos
95 c280's wiring harness tends to fall apart during rebuilds though you could get lucky

Thanks. Yes I just plan on replacing the wire harness anyways. I work a ton of hours so most of communication on here is done with my iPhone.
So I just need a few things to get this going.
I have been wanting this done for some time now.
Anyways, any help I can get would be great with finding parts etc.
I want the best of the best like Pistons, valves, etc etc.
Anyways, once I get all parts including turbo we can start the rebuild.
I'm in Hemet which means you would have to drive and I would help you out with gas. We could do 3 days a week 8 hours a day if you wanted. Let me know. Thanks again.

benzwerks in costa mesa. Im in to see this done ! have also wanted to turbo my M104 for a long time they are perfect candidates and can hold more than 10-12 psi daily for sure Might need to do some tweaking on the compression though our motors are 10:1 Which isnt bad but if you want to boost it you should consider lowering the compression. and getting a good tune as well. the m104s are bullet proof just about they have a cast iron lower block/ aluminum head 24valves and yeah. im sure you already know if you own one;) As long as you have the updated head gasket it should be good to go. People worry about wiring harness but honestly my car was bought in north san diego county and has lived its whole life here and at 184k shes going strong. Wires are still bendable nice and soft. edit: there is actually a guy i know through stanceworks he is located in florida but has a turbo manifold for a M104 that was previously on a 3.2 Litre M104 out of a W210 e320. Hes selling just the manifold, turbo, and blow off valve. If you're serious about a turbo application i can get in contact with him about the manifold and turbo. There is also a guy here in San Diego that builds turbo manifolds and does custom fab work. his work is impeccable . His name is Eric Anderson. At Flawless rides in San Diego. PM me if you want/ need his contact info. Here was a manifold he made for a KA powered 240sx

If your going to the trouble of pulling and rebuilding an engine, get your hands on a 3.2 104. You can build it up while still driving the car around which is a plus, but may not bother you.

I like to know how the heck you guys are planning on getting around the ever so increasing difficult smog Nazi's. I had connections come and go way too many times over the years to mess with an illegal Calif car anymore- plus the random road side inspection machines they keep coming up with over the last decade

I am going to worry about this problem after I build my car.

It will not be easy to smog the car and it will be expensive to do so.

I wont talk about it much in here as its illegal and you can be fined a huge amount of money. and I wont support people getting in trouble for less then .0000001 percent of the smog problem.

All I can warn you is you may have ways right now but just like anything the Gov't has its ways also of keeping up with the times. I have had MANY ways myself over the years that come and go. I have a 68 Vette that went 25 year exempt and then 1 1/2 years later they retracted that and the car had to sit for 3 years until the issued the '75 and earlier exemption. During that time I had dmv connections that put things through for me. Pray you never hit one of those roadside random inspections- I have two firends that have had a world of trouble with impounded cars. California is more and more becoming NAZI bullshit.

And we talk about this on thridgen.org(one of the largest car forum websites- over 50,000 subscribers and endorced by HotRod magazine) all the time and no one has ever been busted for it. Just do not name sources
