On everything for evo's and wrx's they run a 3" exhaust with no trouble and with a Turbo where they need backpressure but I hear of no one running the m111 with 3" pipe and I was wondering if there's a reason why? I'd love to make some headers then collect and go 3" all the way back, really free it up and give it an amazing sound with an extra.75" to go through lol Just a thought

personally, i reckon somehting like that would absolutely ruin an mb. A soft growl or hum would do nicely, even for performance sake.

Hmm, bearing in mind mine is only a 1.8.. I still have not decat'd mine, but I have a longlife straight through 3inch with 2 silencers. It sounds pretty good. Not sure what it would be like on a m111, maybe louder?

I have a 3" exhaust on my M111, however it is turbo'd now. even when I was supercharged I only ran a 2.5" exhaust. I think 3" on a Kompressor M111 would be too much. you'd possibly lose power with such a large exhaust.

I run a 2.5inch exhaust and I wouldn't want it any louder. its enough to let you know its got go but it isn't rice. The thing about Mercedes, even AMGs is that they have retrained aggression. You know its fast but it doesn't run around with its hat on backwards causing a scene. It doesn't have to. Besides with an intake mod they will hear your blower already, my blower drowns out my exhaust.

Haha I know what you mean, the thing whines like crazy even at 60 in 5th gear I hear it in the car and it sounds sweet when you come off the throttle with the whine and exhaust burble lol Scares jdm cars :p
