My brake sensor light came on. Everytime I push on the brakes the light comes on in the dash. Do I need new brakes?

btw--I put spacers on the back two wheels, would that make the light come on?

Thanks!!!

It means your brake pads are running low. Hurry and get new pads before your disc gets messed up or something. Then you'll be paying for that. :bunny:

some recomend to get new sensors as well when changing pads sensors are very cheap (couple bucks each) and they are plug in and plug out but you don't really have to, up to you

only time you'd need to change the rotors is if you were to drive with bad pads for a long time which would cause vibration big time, you'd know it

good lines, thanks guys. I might as well get my rotors resurfaced too...and sensors > my clusterboard light flickers on and off rapidly as I drive, do you think my sensor is damaged also?

Porterfield 'low dust' RS-4s for the front are like $75.00

OEM pads for rear are only $32.00

This is my setup. I just changed my rear pads to early cause I thought they were thin @60k miles. They were only half-way!

Orange County! Fullerton off of Raymond & Commonwealth. 76 gas stations with a 4-bay garage!

Three point 6: do you like the porterfields? That sounds like a good idea, instead of going with dusty oem's
