Hi. I am going to be putting on 18x8, 18x9 staggered AMGs to my 2000 C280 sport as well as lowering it.

I know that size should be 225/40R18 front and 255/35R18 rear - but my favorite tires do not come in that rear size, only the front.

Would any of these be an ok sub size for the rear without looking weird compared to the fronts and fitting well?

265/35-18
245/45-18
245/40-18
235/40-18

i had 225/40/18 on 9 wide rear wheels... now running 225/40/18 on 8.5 square set up.

these will fit 245/40-18

I'm running 225/40/18 on 8.5" fronts and 255/35/18 on 9.5" rears. I'm not sure if this info helps at all but none of the tires seem overstretched. You may want to consider other tire brands too. I have Continental ExtremeContact DWS and I like them so far.
