picture sample is quite small so the details on the center console is somewhat unclear to me. Is that a custom console? or readily available off the shelf?

You can probably peel off the old wood to expose the metal frame of the interior pieces, then paste the overlays so that they sit flush with the control buttons. Let us know how this turns out.

This still is not a chrome picture, but its I am not looking to copy something, I am going for an original look so there is no exact picture of what I am going after.
