Please help! Questions about offset and wheels spacers.

I just got a 2000 C280. I will be putting 18s on it with H&R springs.

At first I was going to go with the E55 monoblocks which will all know fit and look good, but now I want to do something SLIGHTLY different like some of the different stock AMG 18s that came on the S, SL ans CL class of the late 90s and early 2000s.

Here are the wheels I am thinking:

Front 18x18.5 44
Rear 18x9.5 ET48

Will they work with spacers? If I use 12mm spacers will that bring the offset down to 32 front and 36 rear? Can one directly deduct the MM of spacers from the offset to get an accurate fit?

If that is true, based on the offset calculator, this would be the specs compared to the E55 wheels (18x8 31ET, 18x9 35ET)

Front:
Inner Clearance:7mm LESS
Outer Position:EXTEND an extra 5mm

Rear:
Exactly the same

I have the exact same wheels except I'm pretty sure the rear offset was actually 46? In any case, I'm lowered on Eibach springs with #2 pads up front and #1 pads in the rear, use 15mm spacers all around, and my honest opinion is that the front should probably use a 12mm spacer while the rear uses 15mm or that the front should use 15mm while the rear gets a custom size like 17mm. In any case, 15mm spacers all around is a nice setup, but I would not do less than 15 for the rear.

I would REALLY appreciate a pic with the wheels on it man, I am about to pull the trigger on these wheels as well as the same lowering system. I really want these instead of regular monoblocks but have not seen one pic on a w202.
