Anyone ever have a problem turning the key in the ignition? It doesnt happen all the time. But last night it happened and it took me a couple tries

Time to replace the tumbler ASAP. It is a five minute job if you can get the key to turn...If the key doesn't turn you have to cut the lock mechanism open.

what year if you have the 98+ key might be the EIS, if before 98 the tumbler

Mines a 96. Whats a tumbler? Will i need a new key too?

The tumbler is the actual pin assembly that the key goes into. When you order one from the dealer it will be keyed to the lockset of your car so you will still use the same key. It's a really simple job if the key turns.

could be the fuel pump, but also could be the engine wire harness.sounds like either may be giving up.

Experience got me good too in this area. I had to have the car towed to a dealer where they cut the ignition assembly out with a sawzall.....not pretty or cheap for that matter.
