rear view mirror red and green light

My son was playing with the remote and usually when i lock the car the red light blinked and when i unlocked it the green light blinked but now the both blink whether I lock or unlock the car with the remote its very irritating. Can anyone help with this? As I'm writing this I just thought about disconnecting the battery but something tells me its not gonna make a difference

This happened to me and disconnecting the battery worked... but it came back :(

I think is telling you, is time to change the batteries on the key fob. After you change the batteries you have to re-sync the key fob. The manual will tell you how to re-sync the key.

You can check the condition of the battery by holding down the button for about two seconds and looking at the LED flasher. If it flashes bright then the battery is good.

You can sync the key FOB by pointing it at the at the rear-view mirror, pressing the button once and then sticking the key in the ignition and cycling it to accessories ( position 2 ).
