C36 amg muffler Christmas is ealry for me

I just got a c36 muffler today after about 6 months of looking. I'm going to installed tomorrow is going in my 1997 c280 I6. now for all of you that have a c36 or a c36 muffler on a c280 should I also remove the resonator or do you think is going to drone with out the resonator? and lastly some pictures of the muffler by the way I bought it from a guy in benzworld and he got more stuff to sell from a c36 amg.

Yes, I have the C36 muffler on my C280 and I chopped out the resonator and straight piped it. It does not drone one bit, not even at full throttle. It will echo if you're driving in a tunnel but who cares, it's not like anyone would expect that from a Mercedes xDDD

hey man yea I was about to send u a PM. So yours doesn't drone at all, is it loud I don't mind been a little loud but I don't want to be heard coming from two blocks away. what size pipe did you use (2.25/original) or bigger?

It still has that "turbine" sound of a stock exhaust when you're driving normally, and it's only mildly louder if you drive a little hard. If you push it to wide open throttle it will scream like a Forumla-1 racer.

Yes, I used a 2 1/4 inch pipe.

even my stock c36 doesn't make that much sound, unless I floor it. Love driving this car just came home from work:)

Possibly a bit late, but if you get a chance please weigh the C36 muffler before install!! =)

Sorry just changed it but from the usps recite it said the package weight is 26 lb. But yea no drone in the highway or anywhere else. I think is very quite and nice but as W202FTW said if you opened it is sounds nice like a "dinosaur politely chuckling" Jeremy Clarkson hahah.
