First off I am not trying to sound like some whiney little wuss.

BUT! why isn't there projector headlight assemblies available for 201's and 202's?

How could one construct a set of CLEAR (not that stock frosty off-white OEM crap) but bi-xenon configuration w/angel eyes on a 201 or 202? I think these cars are worthy of such a mod.

I did find these, which look like a step in the right direction for a DIY.

And ultimately, it would be so cool to have something like this:

Feedback?

This would be difficult due to the lack of parts.

First off, say you did take something like this on as a project.
Am I wrong when I say that all the glass housings are
that frosty off-clear color? Mine were. And everyone that
I remember saying that a CLEAR, and I mean Evian Water clear,
would look "rice" even if they were out there to purchase. I don't agree. Clear is good.

So 86' that part right there. And then you would have to find a set of projectors that would actually fit, and then the whole frustrating self-leveling thing comes into the picture. Which I could care less about. F--k the other guy, I could care less about getting pulled over. Write me a fix it ticket and let me go. Anyhow, moving on. Then there is the angel eyes issue which looks like the above kit would resolve that end of it.

To add to the complication, in a bi-xenon configuration "I" would want BOTH projectors to be low beam and have them run simultaneously. Not to blind people, but to SEE! I can't see shit in a Mercedes. Both Benz's I have had, I couldn't see dick. And I think it's because of the frosty white OEM glass housings and the other reason being that all I had were regular joe halogen stock light setups. Lame.

I guess I have moaned and complained enough. But damn I am jealous of E36 owners right now with the URL below :(

Let me go cry now.

Ken,

comments on this project? remember I am getting a 201 after the winter.

Do you think you could do this? (see what I am saying though about that off white, and in this case, nasty yellow lenses on the first pic, they are on the floor..)

What about lexan replacements? how hard would it be?

James,

That project seems to be much simpler than the W202 pre97 lenses. I have few contacts for you. Call me sometimes this week. I am so behind on everything..... leave me a voicemail if I missed your call.

Talk to you soon
