My mission to get the stock pulley machined did not end well, the only place i could find wanted $200 to do it! I called another place that i asked to do it about a week ago and yesterday they called me back. Theyre Non-Stop Tuning out of Houston. He told me he can make a whole ne pulley out of aluminum for $150 and all i have to do is send him the old one. I am getting rid of the clutch and going smaller than the 87mm to keep the clutch. My goal is 10-11psi, nothing too crazy. I like the idea of 3-4psi more boost and even low in the rpm band, i dont have to wait for the clutch to engage. Will there be any problems when i dont have the clutch?

$150 a lot of money for 3-4 more psi???

maybe you should go buy a cheaper car?

Not gonna lie, an aluminum pulley will not work with a magnetic clutch... unfortunately your best bet is to machine the OEM one or remove the clutch

The best person to ask would be benzworld.org user subby. Has has had custom pulleys made for his SLK230K and would be able to tell you more.

Thats where i saw it done actually lol I need to change the bearing on the front first though it makes a really annoying rattling sound

you sure that the rattle isn't the rear bearings? It is quite common for the rear bearings to have to be swapped out.

That could be, its probably due for a rebuild lol

Check that out, and if you remove the clutch.. I believe it causes a check engine light but if I remember it won't limp mode.. Its been a while since I tested though, I do know for sure you'll run a check engine light.

Does it set one because of the o2 sensor? Because i know the supercharger acts as the AIR pump and it would be "tampering with an emission device" so the o2 wouldnt heat up but i have a spacer on my o2 so straight pipe n no check engine light with the tune i have :)

I couldn't tell you if its because the o2 sensor, it knows when it was unplugged though

it would throw a cel because the clutch is disabled. the clutch ecu controlled and it would throw a hissy fit. You don't need to delete the clutch for good power. 1bar can be achieved with a crank and s/c pulley if you port the s/c to flow better. that's all you need. And if you want more than 1bar boost then you should probably look into a different s/c or a turbo that is the practical limit of the M62.

Sooo since ive become more edumacated on superchargers and turbochargers here is what ive found after much research. For a roots supercharger the m62 is the best for up to 12 psi but no more because youre at about 58% efficiency not including the intercooler that makes our setup so rare. The stock plumbing is very restictive and not smooth, i would not go a bigger diameter because you will loose velocity possibly but make it flow smoothly. Also just some headers and wrap or ceramic coat it because it is very close to the supercharger. Just by making everything flow nice that 7psi will feel like a pulley upgrade... At 12psi 42lb injectors are needed with a tune then that 300hp is not at all hard to achieve with a tune... Also 2.25" exhaust can support up to almost 500cfm and even at 12psi it will flow 382cfm. Just some thoughts for everyone saying its pointless to mod the c230k, you can pass a c43 all day long if you want to try, everyone wants something someone already sells a kit for though..
