I did a mini project last night testing the waters to see if all the door trim molding would look better blacked out, so I had some leftover plastidip and I tried it out before I decide to commit to actual paint. They were really easy to remove thanks to w201n202's YouTube channel. However To finish the look I need to paint the grey trim on the front and rear bumper. Does it remove as a separate piece off the physical bumpers or is it part of the bumper itself and non-removable? I'm really hoping it's not the second and I have to do masking to paint.

Let me know.

Sorry. Start masking. The grey top trim which flows at the same level as the side trim is part of the main bumper skeleton. The larger painted section is the separate portion that can be separtated. Although you have to remove the bumper to release the clips. I only know because I had to piece mine back together after a concrete tire stop got the better of the car. Here you can see how the larger painted part is separate.
