So I wanted to help everyone out who has been the situation like I have where I purchased an H&R or similar spring/strut/shock kit and their car fell under the 12/95 or earlier production date. There was a link mbsickness sent me about his experience using 97 spring cups and pads to get them to work right:

It was very helpful and useful, and I did order everything today.....but the organization of the information was a little here and there, and it took me about 20 minutes after I got to the MB dealer parts counter to decipher the exact parts I needed that mbsickness used.

To help anyone out there even more just so you can get out of the "stealership" quick and fast, I took a picture of my invoice with all the amounts required and the part numbers clearly organized and visible in one spot. That way, if you want to go this route like me and sickness did, it's all organized and ready to go.

P.S. I know I got gouged at the dealer, but at that point I had already ordered the kit and really it didn't matter from there out how much it costs. I also would have purchased online but to me, some of the OEM online dealers are not user-friendly to understand what you are purchasing. Therefore, I decided to go to the dealer and pay a little more to have someone experienced get it right. I also had it shipped to me house over picking it up, the dealer is over an hour away.

Hope I helped the community a little.

Its posts like this that are very helpful. I had no idea there where more parts needed to convert to the later springpads and spring design. Makes sense though the helix top coils would need some extra guidance due to their taller seat height on the first coil.

Thanks Brian for the heads up and part #s.

I am getting ready to grab some C36 front srpings and some #1 pads from the 96 & up years for my 94

My next question is- Do I need braces for using the 210-325-01-84 #1 spring pads since they are the thinner 5mm ones? After researching a little more- it appears they might not require the bracing if using the thinner ones.
