hey w202 memebers i need some direction on this matter to where i feel and hear a clicking noise coming from the thermostat housing, when i put my finger on the housing, my question is, does this happen? is this normal? can it be something else besides the thermostat around the area where the thermostat is located? any feedback would help thank you

Check your belt tensioner or tensioner shocks. Thermostats don't usually make loud clicking sounds. You can also use a stethoscope

thanks for the link it will come in handy when the parts come in, this is a DIY video as well, just in case, the steps provided by the video poster doesnt include the removing of the whole tensioner pulley assembly itself, although is my be necessary if the you cant remove the 13mm bolt being that there is an alley key bolt in the back that tightens along with the 13mm bolt
