I've heard of homemade ways to make some really quality-looking splitters or lips for front bumpers. Right now I'm pretty happy with my stock bodykit, but I'd like to add some sort of aggressive lip to the front. I'd like to make it myself, fit it and paint it to match all by me.

It doesn't have to be show quality, but just decent for a driver's car.

What materials do I need and how do I plan it out so it looks clean?

I used to know someone who made his own body kits on his Audi TT. He used this foamy insulation spray and sprayed onto wherever he wanted to make customization to the exterior. He would file it down to make shape and then he would spray-paint it. The results, despite his honest efforts, were not that good from what I saw-really bad sometimes. He was a really nice person, but he just didn't do a good job modding the exterior of his car.

From what I know, fiberglass is pretty good to use when making body-kits.
