hi guys, i recently drop my car. bilstein shocks, h&r springs with 5mm spring pads (front ) and 13mm pads (back )
my rims 225/40/18. my front tires keeps on rubbing the fenders when i turn or hit a dip while drving. if i get my front fenders rolled would that help? to keep 5mm pads or should i change my springs pad to 9mm (front) or both roll fenders and 9mm? sorry for asking alot and thank you so much.

Definitely roll the fenders! Makes a big difference front and back! After that, then determin if you need to change your spring pads.

What is your wheel offset? I didn't read you have a staggered wheels so I'm guessing wheel offset will be the same all around.

@1_Bad_C280 : good to know. Ill def do that. the back part is fine, no rubbing just the front. (annoying) lol.

@hvmercy : im not sure about the wheel offset. all i add are the rims, springs and shocks.

thank you. heres a pic of my car..995

I didn't have to roll any of my fenders except for the front right because it was the only one eating into the tire when it rubbed, and we did that using an aluminum jack handle. Took about 5 minutes to do with me in the car and him rolling the handle around.

I would have rolled all the fenders but honestly there's just not a rubbing issue on the others and on top of that I was afraid if I flared them out too much the car's stance would have been thrown off.

Looks really good! Just by what I can see I think if you roll the fenders alone, you should be good to go.

I run stock pads. I have two inch drop springs with 3/4 of a coil cut out. Your rubbing probably has to do with your wheel offset. Do you know what it is. If your set on using those wheels you may want to go up a size on your pad and try a stiffer sway bar.

That is not normal.

You'll wreck your front tires easily if you keep driving it that way. From the picture you posted, it seems to me the front wheels have quite a high offset. Find out what it is then search in google for solutions.

is that normail?

thanks

Look inside the back of the wheels. You'll see ET{XX} where XX is the offset.

Ideally our W202's front offset are around 31 to 33.

Here's an example I grabbed off craigslist. But this one only says where it's made. But you get the idea.

As an aside, looking at your current wheels it looks like it came from a CLS model. Wheel application for CLS models are staggered.

Front: ET32
Rear: ET35

But I'm only guessing. So it's best to take a look at your own wheels.

Good luck.

what if i just change my #1 pads to #2 front? will it make a big difference 5mm to 9mm or put back my stock 13mm? what do you think?

4 mm is so minute that it probably won't make a difference. But it's your car and you can experiment with it as many times as you want.
