I am wondering on resonator location for sound and exhaust scavenging. I have been trying to look this up and cant find it... i have the formulas for header length and diameter but what about pipe size and resonator placement for the pulses?

look up helmholtz or j pipes, very popular method of canceling drone or useing as a source of resonator with just a capped pipe

Ive heard of a j pipe for sound but what about scavenging?

hmm my father did exauhst for a long time from what ive picked up if you make it breath it usualy makes it louder
but id say get a 2.1/4 or2.5 inch with high flow cat and magnaflow muffler
now by doing this you would cut idle tourq out by a little but you would open the higher rpm tourq up more :)
or just get the amount of boost the kompressor pushes get a turbo and hit that same lvl of boost

Im already running straight 2.25" pipe with no cats and 2 resonators to a thrush muffler with magnaflow tips :) But i read resonator placement can matter is my question

hmm id have to ask but im not at home right now lol but id take resonaters off and just run high flow cat with muffler

I would but no sniffer here and less back pressure sure makes the engine happy

unless your a burnout freak ?
:D arnt we all :P
backpressure will make you that tourq to start the squeeling \
but too much and you will hurt the motor so i say open her up and leave a little backpressure nothing over 2.75 inch or your gna loose too much pressure

I wish i could degree my cams and find out the overlap and lift without taking the engine apart :( But youre right too big and you loose velocity of the gasses but with forced induction overlap and backpressure are a no no lol

too shaayy gotta let her beath fire riiiigh ? lol looking at getting a magnaflow 14815? I think but im not shure it I should replace the resonaters with hi-cat /s or keep the resonators

Theres no real need to do the cats unless you increase pipe diameter but you dont need to do that unless you go for over 350hp or so, 2.25 for the cfm through the kompressor motor is more than big enough. I did a vibrant bottle resonator and i like it much more than the magnaflow because over time the fiberglass breaks up and rattles
