Hello All,
I have a 1995 C36.
I would like to replace my stock stereo with a new head unit. I am looking for something inexpensive ($200-$300 range) that will fit perfectly in my car without any modifications. I also want it to control my factory CD changer. I currently have a tape player now  but would like a CD player. Do you guys have any recommendations on a specific brand and model?
Thanks, in advance.

well, as far as head units go, I'd say go with one of the Alpines....

however, now I'm not the expert here, but as far as I know u have to have Head Unit and CD changer of the same company for the Head Unit to be able to communicate with the changer... so I really don't know what to say here. I always thought that After Market Head Unit = After Maket CD Changer... (with few exceptions, like Jag and Lotus use Alpine from the factory, so theirs might actually work with another alpine)

check Circuit City (don't get it installed there though), they should have good prices on these...

A L P I N E or
Kenwood 911-DVD (in dash dvd)

edit: oops, they wont work with your stock changer.....just get a 10disc one from alpine or kenwood whichever u choose.

Will any post-97 W202 OEM CD player work with my car? Are the electronics the same for all W202?

I found this stereo in ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=38641&item=2439452411) , but the price is a little bit over my budget.

Thanks.

Becker CDR 210, or CDR 220 from a 911 Porsche will be plug and play for the BOSE system.... Blaupunkt Skyline models also use the same ISO plug as Becker does, and will plug, but might be too powerful for the stock amp....

It will not work with your CD Changer. You do not have the fibre optic system.
