Horn not working but....

Guys, hoping somebody can help.

The horn does not work but...comes on when head lamp high beam is activated?

Horn relay buzzing when horn buttons pressed
Horn wiring in steering wheel looks o.k.


Any ideas?

Try this. Seeing how the horn operates on 12vdc. Hook it straight to a 12vdc source(bump it not hold it). Either unbolt it and use jumpers from the battery in the trunk to test the horn itself. Or use a battery charger just for a simple 12v bump to see if the horn goes off. If it does the problem might lie in the relay. Just a thought.

Thanks again Taz. Here's the latest update:


Just checked the horn fuse. Surprised to find that there's two fuses and one was blown. Replaced fuse now the horn is working at the steering wheel, happy days.....but the main beam comes on too. And horn still comes when main beam used!
