Hi guys,
I have been checking the forum for some time now and I still cannot find the answer I am looking for. Help please.
I have a 95 C36. I have been offered a set of 18in wheels from an E55. Not sure about offset yet. I think 35 was mentioned. Like to replace the factory springs and shocks at the same time. Quote from Germany is more than what I paid for the car. They said because they are AMG equipment! Having studied the topic with the forum, I asked my local Bilstein agent. He would be happy to supply me a H&R kit (no model number given) to go with them and expect a 30mm drop. It will take 3 months to come. Checked with Mercedes. They said NO to the 18in wheels and NO to the drop as the wheels will definite hit the fenders. I am happy to revert back to B4 Bilstein without the drop if I can use the 18in wheels. But with what springs? Car is for weekend use only though roads are generally bumpy. What about kuonis?

Thanks for your help

18 inch with 35 offset will fit.
that 30mm drop will be with the non amg cars, prob half that on the c36
look up tirerack.com, they'll have the gear you need

Thank you Dearlove. Will get and fit the 18in wheels with either Michelin pilot Sport or Pirreli P zero tyres first. Try them out on the present setup. It will take Bilstein 3 months to get the part to HK. I may get my son in Calif. to order some from tirerack. They have only given one H&R options. Reassuringly, their adverts said they supplied suspensions to AMG. The site was most helpful. Much appreciated.

I currently use 18" Monoblocks with H&R Sport springs and Koni adjustable shocks. This setup is close to ideal for a weekend use car.

Sorry Guys. Just when I thought I got it all worked out, the alloys wheels are actually 18x8in ET31 at the front (A1294001902), 18x9in ET35 at the rear (A2194000202). Does it mean that I have to go back to the drawing board?

i m pretty sure the offsets you said will work fine as my older lowenharts were 31 front with a 18 8.5 front and the rears were 32 with a 18 9.5 tires were 225 18 and 255 35

It also depends on the wheel width. +35 offset does not guarantee proper fitment.
