The Kompressor has stopped working on my 1999 C230K (67K miles).

The dealer says it is the clutch that is at fault. It will be looked at next week to find out if it is electrical or the actual mechanical clutch.

Anyone else had this or had any ideas how I can maybe temporarily fix it?

Car drives, but is soooooo slow!!

are you talking about a/c compressor or kompressor?
just making sure before jumping to answers

just a guess, but I think since he said car drives but slow, I'm thinking his SC stopped pumping air, which basically left him with 2.3L engine with very low compression... and not so easily breathing either....

We are talking Kompressor ie no supercharger :(

If it is ur supercharger clutch thats gone.. ur gonna need a new superchrager.. as far as I know the clutch isnt available by itself.. gonna be a pricey repair if ur out of warranty.

Apparently it is seperate according to the stealer. Trouble is the stealer is not 100% sure and is still investigating prior to ordering any parts :(

Have a W203 loan car at least.

They may find out it isnt available.. I think the supercharger clutch is press fit onto the supercharger. from what I've seen, the whole superchrager have been replaced due to the clutch failure. but u can only hope its seperate.. cost a lot less to fix.

Dealer says the Kompressor Clutch is OK now.

Waiting for a new ECU to arrive from Germany so they can try that........................

The latest.

ECU was faulty and has been replaced.

Kompressor Air Recirculation Flap (valve) also faulty and replaced (new part on order though).

Yes, they did put old ECU back to see if it worked with the new flap but sadly not :(

Collect car on Tuesday :D
