5mm spacers, center ring thick enough??

Hi there,

As some of you know my project is almost complete and just waiting to order 2 sets of 5mm spacers. However, I just realized that they might cause vibration with the hub problems.

Anyone know if the hub center ring is thick enough for the 5mms? I'll be buying H&R and if anyone has any input, comments and the answers would be appreciated. If there's a "no problem at all" then I'll go ahead and order them!

I'm looking for the same info. Doing the same as you (great minds think alike and....;) ) , haven't ordered yet as I'm unsure opf what I exactly want/need. Was looking at these.

You will be good, i have 10mm on the back woth extended lug bolts and i have no problems

I wont be using extended bolts and its 5mm..
Anyone else?

if you're buying h&r make sure its hubcentric and not just the normal universal one... and im running 15mm on stock bolts..

Wow you can do that? I didn't spend a lot on my extended bolts to run with my 15mm spacers but that's good to know that it works in case I ever need a short term replacement bolt.

If its hubcentric, it means it fits on your wheel hub... and it shouldnt vibrate. if it does,, try without the spacers then if it still vibrates, it could be a wheel problem

Its not about the bolts.
5mm spacers will be usable with stock bolts..

Im just curious which 5mm spacers make hub centric... which ive gone thru a sites and said 5mm makes no hub centric..

Anyway anyone here with the exact 5mm set up?

What Hubcentric relates to is not the spacer itself, its the importance of the wheel being centered on either the hub via the center lip, or a new spacer with an extended lip- Why is this important? becasue the further out the wheel sits on the hub without hub centicity, the more lateral force is applied to the wheelstuds when they are longer in exposed length and can snap off with higher driving forces/spirited driving/ race tires, etc. You want the wheel centered on the hub lip, not centered by the wheelstud lugs.

I just checked out my new 5mm spacers and the standard wheel bolts are not long enough. I'd advise you get new bolts 5mm longer.
