Up in Canada you must have a license plate on the front and back of your car (stupid if you ask me) I have seen some guys at meets with it off and they have removed the front bracket and just leave their plate in the front passenger side of their dash by the windshield. Does anybody know how to remove this off a 1998 C230??

Not all provinces in Canada require front license plates. Alberta requires only the rear license plate installed.

I don`t see any screws to take off it looks like a simple clip that pops the whole bracket off. I dont want to break the clip cuz I can`t figure out how to unclip it. I haven`t gotten it on the hoist yet though will probably be easier then laying on my back in my driveway. Thanks guys :D

In addition to the two screws located behind the plate there are two slots with locking hooks that attach the lower section...at least on the Pre update cars and the c36.
