ok so if im remembering correctly the air pressure release valve also known as a bov on the komp sprt,
if you make a custom intake would I be getting a slight (pshh )noise if I place it almost dead near the inlet filter angled ?
I know it affects throttle response by altering the placement on them, the closer to the intake better response or blah blah I forget lol
btw I used to own a 99eclipse gst turbo that's why im asking im trying to get a simmaler sound out of it and can anyone who has a custom intake for a( 2000 23 kom sprt) pop theres off and show me som picks and was there any gain ?
sorry for spelling my apoliges XD:P

It wont matter where you mount it because it just reciruculates the air in the system when you get on it then let off the gas like a bov but it stays in the system to be read by the MAF sensor so you wont go too rich or lean. I put a CAI on my Kompressor and i just get the supercharger whine because the stock tube has a J tube style piece to silence it

ah I also wondered what if one found a vacume line and actualy did put a bov to replace the dump valve.
would do the same thing if you realy think about it but I know this dump valve is electric

Mine sounds like a bov almost with the cold air intake, you can do a bov just be sure its before the MAF and idk how the ecu will react since its electronic

Here is a little mod I did today trying to get the bov sound... I use the stock airbox, and I just unplugged the dump Valve and attach to it a flange with a 25 mm pipe in the middle...(and covered the hole left in the airbox)....currently the "flange" is made by a soft plastic but I'm trying to make a more solid one:) here is a short video...I might cut the pipe shorter to see how the sound changes... frankly all I did was I figured it only blows air out when running so I just put a screen over it purely vented to atmosphere sounds loud lol

If you want to have the BOV sound and all pipes connected as they should, open the airbox cover and remove the rubber 90 degree connector. You can also remove the silenser.

Did you guys felt any power loss with the valve releasing the pressure in the atmosphere? With the perfexpert I lost almost 10hp lol
