I have a set of 18 5lug rims im planning on throwing on my 00-c23o k. s
there 8 inches wide I wana know if anyone knows what tire size I need to have the same overall size as the factory 205-55-16

more or less the hight of the tire I wana keep the same so I don't make the speedo wrong and stuff and any clearance issues I would have with 18s (I know if I keep the same tire hight overall I shouldn't have issues but just checking )

Its wider than original and thinner because of bigger rims so u need less thickness.

You are better off with a 215/40-18 staying more porportioned to height AND width.

it depends on how low you are.. 225/40 should be ok... 215/40 if you need the clearance..

either way, it depends on your ride height.

well atm its factory 00c230k sport height what ever it is lol
but can I keep the same width and be fine with 205-40-18?

its eather that or run a set of spacers to clear the knuckles and a fatter tire

A pretty good way to tell is by looking up the documentation for your tires on the tire manufacturer's website. I know brands like Continental post a range of which wheel widths each tire size can fit safely. If you want more of a stretch, head out of the recommendations.

you shouldnt have a problem with even 225 tires... im running 225/40/18 on 8.5 wheel width tire... i was fine without spacers but i just put them to become a lil bit more agressive...

Your scale is wrong. There is no way an 18x8 wheel like tat weighs even close to 10 lbs. More like 22lbs or more.

If you go back to my first post, I links a wheel and tire calculator you can play with to see what different aspect and width tires will look like and measure when you fit them on your wheel. A 205/40-18 would be too short a diameter tire for your car.

So you have an $8000 Subconcrete hydraulic lift in your garage but you do not own a $10 scale- Why do you feel the need to lie and who do you think you are fooling?

small center? are you sure these are MB spec wheels with 66.56 center bore and not VW/Audi 5x112 with 57.1 center bore? if its the latter i wouldnt recommend you running them even with spacers...

8 inches is nothing.

My C43 is stock C43 height with 10" wide on the back, with a little room to go.
