Electronic Buzz/Beep?

Driving my car and all of a sudden i heard an intermittent beep which sounded like it was coming from the passenger side somewhere, it comes on every couple of minutes or so but sometimes i get a long prolonged beep that doesnt go away till i accelerate/brake or turn the car off. . . . .

Iv looked around online and other people have had the same thing but i never really found out what the problem/cure was.

Anyone else had this?

is it the phone system ? I know that beeps thru the headunit if you hit some buttons lol but it usually doesn't continually go on thoe
make Shure you don't have something stupid hitting the wrench symbol in the center console or the info button right beside it

Iv got a double din aftermarket unit rather than the usual single din and there is nothing remotely close to it, it hasnt done it for the last couple of days, apart from a faint beep about 10 seconds after start which it has done for as long as i can remember, so maybe it was a loose wire somewhere?

I would guess it to be the catalytic convertor rattling or buzzing at idle sometimes. Once you throttle the car the exhaust gasses press the loose honycomb against the housing and the buzzing rattle will go away.

vetruck when my jeeps cat went bad it sounded like shit no where close to a beeping noise but more like a rattled choke lol (Granit I had a actual hi flow cat on too)
I will give the benefit of doubt though we do have a tone of sound matt that may muffle the noise in a weird way to make it sound like a beep? anything's possible ..
