Well, I was at a fellow friend's house from 190revolution.com when I got the opportunity to buy a used 2003 G500 Stereo/Navigation module for a really cheap price. His dad said he got it about 3 years ago but never really ended up needing it. I really had no intentions of buying it until my friend, his dad and I came to a reasonable price that made it worth picking up that made it worthwhile to do this is a side project.
Here is the module, it was too late to take a pic but this is basically the same thing:

In the morning, I'll take an actual pic of it.
I know this won't bolt right up, and I also know some cutting to make a double din space will be required, but it would be cool to have factory navigation and phone in my car. Right now I have an aftermarket pioneer stereo and running on the Bose amp. I'm willing to hear suggestions as to how to get this to work.
Also, where is the radio code on this? I can't seem to find it.
Let me know.

no radiocode, no vorki vorki from headunit!
did you get the manual?
did you get a card sized as a credit card?
this card have printed code.
if no you have to go to stealer and ask for codes.
there's a website with radiocodes for MB decks, maybe that can help you?

I can see that this nav unit was a nice ugprade a few years back but now this nav system is way outdated and slow. Why not do something different and stick a tablet such as this. Looks clean and functions so much better

Thats what I mean. Using that old Mercedes nav is such a pain. It takes 30sec to talk into you phone while the benz unit takes minutes and you can only input info while you're at a stop.

This is better than that potato youre trying to install. On a w201 but the same can be done on the w202

Don't worry, I'm friends with the guy and him and his dad wanted it gone so I bought it for 5 bucks. An offer I couldn't say no to.

If you use something with Android, you can install the Torque app on their and get way, way, way more than just entertainment out of it. Performance measurements, OBD 2 codes! MPG! Everything! Track it all in charts or graphs and have it email results to you! Get rid of your radio entirely and use only the tab with upgradeable micro SD storage up to 64gb! IMAGINE THE POSSIBILITIES

I plan on moving my climate control down below the radio where my factory car phone unit is and doing a custom double din install. I like the look of the factory benz navi but its just too dated! I need bluetooth...
I did this a long time a ago but anyone can do it, get an pioneer app radio and mirror your phone to the head unit for instant pandora, torque, netflix, etc.. I was originally going to install a 7" tablet but the shut down and start up and stand by battery times are too much when you're just trying to get in and go.
