Im planning on taking off my resonator and replacing it with cherry bomb glasspack. i already have a muffler delete replaced with straight pipe. What y'all think of that?

It will definately sound like a fart can. The cherrybomb glasspack will give an obnoxious sound for such a classy car. It will sound worse than a typical honda with a fartcan tailpipe tip. It will sound ok at idle, but real bad when you rev it.

Cherrybomb chamber mufflers are nice though, but a glasspack straight-though isn't going to cut it alone.

Have you personally done this? Or have you ever heard of a cherry bomb as I describe?

Ended up doing a magnaflow glasspack in place of the resonator running to a straight piped muffler. Sounds deep and i feel a gain in power as well. Overall im happy on how it turned out.

THe reason why I responded is becasue I have many experiences with them and discribe it as such. Even the Magnaflow glasspack will sound like a fart can when you get the RPM's up near 6k on these little displacement motors. You need to also put on a chambered muffler along with the glasspack to smooth down the loud raspy revs.

Glasspacks work great on a V8 racecar, but my vast experience with them (and my opinion- so if you do like my opinion then you should not ask for opinions or otherwiuse please respect it) it it will sound like crap on a Mercedes and I would personally be embarassed to drive one with such.}

I just posted this pic in another thread of a glasspack setup I just built on a friend's NASCAR superstock racecar.

I dont know what you call a fart can but i do know what a fart can sounds like and my car does not sound anything close to a fart can. I am happy with my results and i appreciate your opinion and help.
