Thanks for that Krum. It'll be a good reference point for me later.

Anyway, besides the ECU limiting the power, have you come to any new conclusions when comparing both graphs?

Nothing new so far. :)

That is some good numbers, I want to do 12psi with my 2.3k with some headers added to your setup and maybe a little something extra

Mike, you're wright but I'm on a different path now. :)

John, a close friend of mine cracked the re-flash process.....now he's doing it for like...3 min.... It's a big step forward. :) :) :)

Great Krum. Keep us you to speed on the progress. In theory with the ECU cracked, both pulleys & the larger I.C., what sort of figures are you hoping for above the current 219bhp/243ft lb?

KrumB
10-27-2013, 09:50 PM
+15-20 @ the most....I think. :)

John Jones Jr.
10-28-2013, 07:36 AM
So, you might be knocking on close to 240bhp, not bad at all for a 2.0lt with the original ECU re-programmed. Am I right in presuming driveability will be as good or if not better and max torque will be moved up the rev range?

KrumB
10-28-2013, 08:13 AM
Drivability is already a lot better as max toque is below 3500 rpm. :)

Hey guys. Hope all well. Haven't been around for a while. I see Krum has something up he's sleeve. Great work!! Can't wait for the results. Krum what phone are you using for the dyno app?

KrumB
10-28-2013, 11:55 PM
We've tested Samsung Galaxy S something :) and iPhone 4 with equal results but it turns out the phone mount is very important. It has to be able to absorb some of the vibrations. So a solid one is no good.

Excellent results, and thanks for posting before and afters!!

The small dip around 4800 could be the intake cam retarding,on the 230k the advance was from 1200 - 4300, could be slightly higher on the 200k?. We always found it tricky trying to tune that transition!.

It's interesting that this dip becomes more obvious when you start adding fuel (AFR 11.5 or so) and less obvious at AFR ratios around 13.00-14.00.

Hi,

What we use is ECM Titanium for tuning the maps and a Galletto 1260 with 38-pin cable for downloadind and uploading the soft.

So, when should I get ready to drive my C230k to Sofia?

KrumB

hahaha you wouldn't have to. I'll send you my file when it's ready if you do all I've done. :))

In fact I can send you the one I'm using now. It'll be perfect for you. It's been used on a 230K engine. You just need to purchase Galletto 1260 and read the instructions.

This my friend is a link to download ECM + the password to extract the compressed file where ECM is. ;)

Yes but at this stage I don't need it. Especially since I have found ways and means to flash the ECU.

Excellent results there Krum!!
How was it tuned? Via OBD,38 pin or soldered chip? Are you still having the s/c switch off problem? Which 2 wires did you clamp with the diode?
Sorry for all the questions

KrumB
12-31-2013, 08:33 AM
Hi,
Its tuned via Galletto 1260 (38-pin cable).
I found what's wrong. The throttle cable had to be adjusted.
I'm using a SMT 6 piggyback and it restricts the signal.

John Jones Jr.
12-31-2013, 03:00 PM
That's a great result Krum and even better that is from 200K. Are you happy with those stats or were you expecting more? Have you sorted the issue with the S/c disengaging at sudden WOT?

KrumB
12-31-2013, 08:24 PM
Hi J,
Everything sorted out. :) Quite happy with the result!
Looking for more thaw. :)

Hi Krum ,plenty of snow there now I'd imagine. Did the MAF clamp sort it?

KrumB
01-01-2014, 04:07 AM
We have no snow for now. :)
The problem was with the throttle wire. It was not adjusted. The previous owner tightened it too much.

John Jones Jr.
01-01-2014, 05:34 AM
Good to know :), must check mine as I did adjust up the cable some time back.

KrumB
01-01-2014, 05:49 AM
When throttle pedal pushed all the way down (WOT) the throttle solenoid lever should not touch the plastic limiter (there must be about 1 mm gap).

John Jones Jr.
01-01-2014, 08:33 AM
Thanks Krum. I presume you have a cable from the throttle pedal to the throttle switch/solenoid/potentiometer mounted in the engine bay (which in turn is wired to the electronic throttle body)?
