R.I.P snowwhite:( now thinking on getting a compressor

This past weekend my baby got rear ended and I'm devastated, I'm thinking about getting a 98 c230 kompressor any thoughts on them? My only fear is the supercharger going bad I see that they are expensive? here are some pics after of the crash, they said it was total loss

Man those monoblocks :( I've got 252000 km on my 98 C230k and she still goes strong. From what I've read is the earlier kompressor units gave problems. So far all is well.

that rear-end hit doesn't look to severe, car set on a jig should be possible to straighten out.

how did rear wheel break that outer lip?
did you hit the curb?

tell insurance company to fix the car at the dealership, otherwise you will lose a lot of money on your car

how much are they estimating it at ? How much money will they be paying out on this claim ? if they give you the flat $5k then you should look for a C36 or C43 AMG.

5k is enough to get a 43 . Especially if you part out your 202 since your front end is good you can get some extra cash there. check ebay even. My father bought his off ebay it was shipped from Quebec so he got the KMH cluster and everything. closest i found on any online site was in alexandria VA a c36 for $5900 , there are two c43's on ebay for under 5k but there in Washington state.

yup thats the one. Looks decent. Three hours is not that far at all. Besides Ebay, Try Autotrader.com & craigslist. Local public auction houses might turn up with one also. Just have to keep your eyes open and on the hunt. Ca is hella far from you, But you can always get a one way ticket for a couple hundred and fly out here, Pick the car up and drive it home. The true test to see if you bought a decent used car or not! lol. Or you can ship the car. My buddy sold his benz wagon on air ride from here to a guy all the way in Florida. He said he only payed $1150 to have it shipped from SD , Ca to Miami Florida.
