Suspensions for W202

Hello everyone!

I am an owner of a C180 (W202) 1995 and I need to change my suspension system.
Unfortunately,I know nothing about suspension systems.
I don't even know what type of suspension my car has.
I don't need suspensions for racing or anything like that.I make normal use of my car.
All I need is something that is very reliable and very safe.
I heard that Eibach are one of the best brands out there.But I do not know which one fits and which ones are the right for my car according to the use that I make.
What's your opinions?

do you want to lower the ride height or keep it stock

How much lower?If it is a lot lower compared to the stock height then no I want to keep it stock.Because in my country the roads have a lot of potholes and bumps.
If it isn't that much then I do not care to sacrifice a few inches of height for safety and reliability.

Maybe I should be more specific and say that I want to change the shock absorbers and not the whole suspension system.
If it is possible to someone here to tell which shock absorbers are considered the best ones and also which type are compatible for my car
