annoying buzzing sound when accelerated

Anyone ever have this issue? The top of my dipstick broke I was thinking it was the dipstick rattling around but not sure. It's only when I press the gas, even with the slightest touch

Where exactly do you feel the sound is coming from? If you stand infront and rev the engine up slightly in PARK do you still hear it?

Youre probably going to need to locate the sound to a specific area in order to get any sort of firm answer, but id be looking at the serpentine belt to start with and see if its around that area.

I assume this is the 97 C280?

When I turned off the radio the sound changed then went away also I got frusterated so I stepped on the throttle and the noise went away for a couple of minutes makes me think it's a electrical grimlin, I googled what is happening since it goes off and on when they take it to any shop or dealer ship the noise is not there. It started with a ugly grinding noise and turned into a annoying vibration or a tiny alarm clock sound somewhere in the engine from inside the car it sounds like it's coming from the ac

Youve got a leaf in your blower fan by the sound of it!!

There is a little climate control fan that is right where your map light is. when that starts to go out it sounds like an annoying bee is in your car. I would check that first. Just put your hand over it and see if it goes away.

if it wont do it with the radio off sounds to me like a ground issue somewere or power line is too close to speakers ?

also a good way to help find a squeal or vibration is to use a lonnnnng skinny flat head screwdriver and hold one end somewhere on the car and the other up to your ear (sounds weird but works)

It might be the supressor on the alternator if that was the issue
