Hey guys I'm sorry if this has been asked but I couldn't seem to find a thread with a specific answer.

I acquired a 1999 c280 (non sport model) a few months ago and I absolutely love it. I swapped the stock wheels out for 17" AMG replicas with 225/45/17 tires. The car looks great but would look so much sweeter without that big gap between the tires and the body.

My question is about lowering...I'm pretty much a newby when it comes to this stuff, am I stupid for thinking you can just buy new springs and slap them on? There has to be more to it than that right. I've read a little but can't get a clear answer...it ranges from adjusting camber to changing the shocks.

Any help is appreciated! Thanks

some start slowly... doing it one thing at a time... but if you have the money i would change both spring/shocks at the same time... then you can start correcting the camber

Sorry to be a total noob about this but, are there just shocks or shocks and struts on the car?

Will a set of front and rear shocks like these suffice or am I missing something?

our suspension looks like this:

so the red spring is the lowering spring which is more compressed than stock suspension and the yellow one is your shocks/struts...

Can anyone recommend some springs and shocks that are decent quality and wont break the bank?

So far I found these but I'm not sure what qualifies as a sport shock and I don't know what brand to buy.
