I finally got the Monoblock Aero II, the ones that are the reason I fell in love with the W202. I've settled for the AMG 5 Spoke ones that have been on and off for the past 3 years and have had some BBS, TSW, as well as Enkei.

However it was either the Monoblocks or the Carlsson 1/6. Yesterday I went 70 miles to pick-up a set of 18in monoblocks that costed me exactly 70 bucks with gasoline included, quite a deal huh? Of course they are in rough shape, tomorrow I'll be putting the on the balance machine to make sure there's no invisible bents. However I did not see any welds, and the worn out tires that described by the owner have held air for about 6 months now. Getting to the point now is, my w202 is a 1999 C280 stock suspension as you see in the pics above. the specs as far as what I saw were 18x8 and 18x9, didn't see the offset. Given that how do I fit those rims, what sizes tires I should be looking for, Roll Fenders or no? I am planning on lowering the car on the Vogtland Springs before the summer.

Those should bolt on provided the bolts you have are the correct lengths.

so you switched from the monoblock aero III's pictured above? from the part numbers you gave, it looks like it came from 2 different cars, an S class and an e55 model... i may be mistaken though...

I didn't know they were called aero III however i'm planning on switching them soon as I lower the car, roll the fenders and get some useful info to prevent rubbing lol. It's very possible, it seems like part numbers are different yes, and two of the rims are made in austria the other two in belgium so most likely they are from two different cars. Tomorrow I'll be seeing if they're bent anywhere since there's no signs of welds or being bent in anyway. And about the Vogtlands, it seems like they're the best choice when lowering on springs without sacrificing ride quality, or at least that's what I was reading couple of years ago on the forums.

i have h&rs and i love it... you dont really need to roll the fenders not unless you're doing a really aggressive drop

I read so much info on those monoblocks seems like another guy posted last year about these same rims. I don't know why but my front ones really come from an SL and the rears are from a E-class. I am going to probably install them within two to three months, first I need to replace some bushings on the front end, change the ball joints, engine mounts, transmission mounts, transmission fluid, steering fluid, wheel bearings too since I've been driving on 17's for 3 years now lol and will be switching to 18's. I'm going to have a friend borrow them for his 560sec until he finds a replacement for his bottle caps. During that time I'll also need to get a set of vogtlands and bilstein sport as well as perhaps the sway bar kits from eibach. Has anyone ever tried those? And btw is there anywhere bilsteins can be purchased cheaper than 100 bucks a piece?

by the way, what size tires should I buy?

depends on how agressive you are/you want to be
