My 98 c230 seems to be lagging when I punch it on the gas. I have noticed over the last couple of months that when I am cruising at about 70-80km/hr and I want to give it some juice to merge on the hwy etc I notice it is very hesitant on picking up speed. My mechanic says it could be many things such as needing to clean throttle body? change spark plugs/tune up? Transmission fluid change/service? My car has about 190km and I did a tune up when I inherited the car 4 years ago. Anybody have any ideas what it could be? I know it still has juice cus once I hit high rpm and the car down shifts it flies. Just wanna get mah powahhhh back lol

I would say Spark Plugs, alot of hesitation problems comes from spark plugs. (Also heard Platinum plugs wont be compatible, and make sure to get one with no resister built in.)

sounds MAF related, Just had hesitations thought it was my trans. Replaced the MAF and it feels like a rocket ship again.
