Exterior door handle removal????

Does anybody know how to remove the exterior door handles on a 1998 c230?? Do I need to take the door panels off to remove?? I am going to be wrapping my car and only issue I think I have is not knowing how to remove the door handles. Any help would be great. Cheers

Do not remove door panals.

Theres a Allen screw inside the hole covered by the rubber weather strip. Loosen the screw until the small piece of the handle pulls out freely. Don't let the screw drop inside the door, then you will have to remove the panal.

The rubber weather strip? I am not sure if I understand what you mean. Where is this allen screw? I don't see where a screw is located anywhere on the handle.

It's not on the outside. Open the door.

Even though this pic is my Porsche, the hole where the Allen or torx screw is hidden is right behind this weatherstripping.

Must pull back the rubber, shine a light in the hole. Only loosen the screw until the small part of the handle pops out. You do not want to drop the screw down into the door. It's a needle in a haystack down there.
