Hi all :)

Im looking at springs to replace the stock units in my all stock 99 C43 AMG, im not overly happy with the handling as it is and I know from experience with my other W202 ( 95 C180 ) that its capable of a hell of a lot better ( having said that, it IS better than my C180 in handling, but not enough for my liking ). Id say the bushings are abit worn out, I planted it going onto a highway today and had the back end feel as though it moved around slightly as I accelerated, the road was dry and its got 3 week old Michelin Pilot Sport 255s on the back, so it sure as hell wasn't spinning the wheels.

Im going to do the bushings as well, im looking to get a full set of poly bushings for it if I can, if anyone can recommend something good, id be happy with that :)

So I did a real quick search, and I came up with these:

I might throw in a set of KONI externally adjustable shocks too if those are available for a C43, if anyone can recommend them of something very simular would be great.

Thanks in advance :)

i have vogtlands and koni yellow shox on my c43 and love this combination
car feels much more stabilized on the road in fast corners and spirited driving

going vogtland/koni kit is great

some recommends H&R springs these are good too

vogtlands, h&r, or eibachs for springs...
Bilsteins or konis for the shocks, note: you will have a very hard time finding aftermarket sports shocks listed under c43,,, search for 230, 280 etc,,they will work...

Cheers blokes :)

I noticed that while searching, mostly all listed for C280 and advertised a drop of 1.5-2 inches, surely thats for the base suspension C280 and the C43 wont drop that far compared with its current height, which being an Australian delivery car id guess is the same as Euro models.

I have just heard back from K-MAC and it seems they can provide the total package, including larger sway bars.

Im in Australia, shipping from USA is about as dear as buying the springs for some reason.

What is the difference between the sport and the super sport? I imagine the super sport will be abit stiffer? Are they both multi rate type springs?

K-MAC make their own springs, any height required, $295 AUD a pair ( which is simular prices to what you mension )

Poly bushes including camber/caster kit is $700 AUD for front AND rear complete.

The KONI yellow shocks are going to be about the dearest part.
