Was looking at this and it said it would increase the HP by 20 HP and from what I read is the same size is that true ?

I'm not entirely sure of your experience on these matters, so please forgive me if I sound like an as*hole telling you things you already know.
The crank pulley on these cars is not just a pulley, but a harmonic balancer. Part of the magic behind a well engineered engine is the smoothness. This smoothness also has a drastic impact on the engine's lifespan, fuel consumption, and (to a lesser extent) its horsepower. The harmonic balancer was carefully engineered by MB to be a specific size and weight, with the rubber cushion in between the inner and outer layers, to balance out and absorb the shockwaves and inherit imbalance that happens when a piston changes direction inside the cylinder--ESPECIALLY from the impact of the thousands of explosions (cylinder's firing) that occur every minute the engine will ever run.
Reducing the weight of this pulley WILL have an impact on all of this. Yes, the engine will have less weight to turn on the crank and will thus appear to be more powerful and/or more responsive to throttle changes, but your mileage may vary. Some people use them and swear by them. Some people have had major failures as a result.
The story that sealed their fate for me? A forum member over at mbworld wanted to build the world's fastest w202 years ago. He had the shop, the tools, the know-how, and the money to make it happen. He wanted it to be purely MB powered. He found a wrecked w211 E55 AMG and yanked that supercharged m113 out of it and completely rebuilt it. He spent months fitting it and getting the ECU to work right, and was on the absolute BRINK of having the ultimate w202. There are youtube videos of it on the dyno getting some final tuning done. At the time there was a company called HPS selling "light weight crank pulleys" for C43's. He installed one on this engine. One day in traffic this lightweight pulley gave up the ghost and flew apart, shredding the entire front of the engine. He gave up and went with a 2jz instead.
For my money, I would never touch it. I absolutely don't want to speak for others who have done it and have had positive results. This is just my stance on the issue.

Not going to sugar coat this, it's all bullshit.
-it's not light enough for you to notice any improvements at all!
-I've had something that looks identical, basically the rubber dampener came apart, it through the belt off and left me stranded. Lucky that was all because the factory ones also come apart eating away the timing case, causing fat oil leaks.
-weight on the crank is to dampen the harmonic vibration. Shaving weight there can decrease main bearing wear.

remo's saying what I was THINKING, but I tend to be afraid of starting fights :)
if you want actual power gains, you focus on displacement, induction, and exhaust. Otherwise you're wasting your money. These engines are hand built, ported, polished, balanced, cammed for maximum power from the factory. If there were bolt-on upgrades that actually yielded results, they'd be sold all over the place.
Save your money and find a GOOD REPUTABLE supercharger and INSTALL IT RIGHT. Enjoy that grin on your face afterwards.

It's not heavy enough to begin with in order to claim such hp gains.
Side note, on my 911 I have a factory light weight 964 flywheel & GT2RS clutch. Engine revs incredibly fast, but on the days I'm in traffic with the AC on, car will stall out coming to a stop very often. The lack of rotating weight to keep the engine spinning as well as the load of the AC clutch kicking on and off causes this. Same thing happen often on my C36/6speed w/ custom flywheel.
Not saying the pulley will cause stalling, but the weight is attached and balanced at both ends of the crank for important reasons.

Ok good to know , thanks for the info does HPS still make super chargers for the C43 ?
