Window tint Percentage

I will tint my car on monday and I'm not sure what tint percentage I should go with. I'm debating between 35% the legal limit here in MD or 20%. Does any one have any pictures of their cars with 35% or 20%?

35% is the legal limit here too so i went with that and am happy with it

If you just want the tinted look and don't mind the legality, a staggered 35% front/20% rear setup looks nice. I have this setup on my car, except with 18% rear (Suntek Carbon) and the rear windshield is 5% (installer ran out of 18%, oh well). I definitely would not recommend darker than 35% up front, though. If you have to drive through any dimmer areas (neighborhoods, rural areas, etc.) then 20% might limit your vision more than you'd like.

you guys have white cars so it looks darker. i think in a black car a 35% would look to light

I have a blue MB and I also did the 35% on the two front windows (drivers and passenger) and 20% wrap around the (rear 2 two windows and back window)....it looks awesome and dark from the side but also it is legal in TX which is the main thing...(don't want them ripping it off and getting a ticket)

Mine is at 20% as well. Cops have never once bothered me. Had the tints for 5 years plus

I went with 35% 3m color stable and it looks quite dark. maybe because my interior is also black and the windows had a small tint in it form the factory, but if you take 3 or 4 steps you can barely see inside. I paid $240 for the color stable which guaranteed for life to not turn purple.

this was my old 97 c230 that i sold , tint cost me $187 / life time warranty sometimes in 2009 . They did a great job, when I sold the car last year tint was in the same condition.

I don't remember the % but was the legal one. Next one , darker would have been over the legal limit, didn't wanted to take chances.

I'm planning to tint my 99 c43 too, don't know what % should i go with either... might just go legal.

I went with 35% tint. It's dark but not too dark.
