A strange sound under the steering in my c43

I have noticed everytime I start my car when it has sat for a while I hear a KA-THUD sound under the steering colum and it happened when I first start out like a release or something ? There have some rare occasions the steering is a little stiff until I hear that sound and then all ok , is this normal as my c230 k never did this ?

maybe your power steering is low on fluid or the engine belt is a bit loose on pulley
did you pop the huud and see anything funky, any leaks or something else that might be wrong?

did you pull out or push down your steering wheel to the max and then set the lever to lock the steering to your preference adjustment?

It's under the dash is where the sound is coming from , sounds more like a vacuum type of KA-THUD sound . Alway has been there . Maybe I can try to adjust the steering to see if that changes anything ?
