Intermittent AC cooling??

So my car is having this problem. When I turn it on the ac blows cold for about 5-10 minutes before it starts blowing just air(no cool). In trying to mess with it I pressed the recycle air button and occasionally the cooling turned back on for about 5 minutes before it just blows hot again. Any idea what this problem may be?? Thanks in advance.

could be the Duo valve it looks like 2 double A batteries under your hood, tap them with a rubber mallet see if it get colder

What type of climate control system do you have in your car? In my 96 c280 i have the lcd control panel type i.e. no knobs. If you have the lcd type their are several diagnostic tests that can be run by pushing a few buttons. Being freon pressure, vent temp, and other essential ac related issues. Look at the stickie labled fupabox he has some vids deadacated to this type of control panel (lcd). Hope this helps.

did you check if the compressor clutch kicks in?
