I have a 2000 c280 base and I would like to put on 18" mono blocks. 8 1/2 front and 9 1/2 rear. does anyone know if this can be done without any issues. thanks lenny

Yes it can. The wheels need to have a 30mm offset both front and rear for perfect fitment without any spacers or adapters.

I have this same wheel size combination on my own car with LM6 wheels. I have 18x8.5 30mm fronts with 215/40/18's and the rears are 18x9.5's 30mm offset on 245/35/18's.

You and view a few pics of it searching my posts.

I have a very similar setup on my car:

225/40/18 tires in front on 8.5" wide wheels, offset 44 + 15mm spacers for total offset 29
255/35/18 tires in rear on 9.5" wide wheels, offset 46 + 15mm spacers for total offset 31

I have the factory sport edition suspension with Bilstein B8 Shocks, Eibach springs (didn't notice they were for a c230, but the only difference is around 20Nm lower spring rate up front), and I just changed all of the spring pads to #3. The front tires will still rub the fenders a bit when backing off a steep curb or during a quick, sharp U-turn. I may try to get my fenders rolled this Summer to see if it helps with the rubbing. I have a member's gallery thread with pictures from my previous setup (a bit lower than it is now).
