How to force Center Vents open tutorial!

Does anyone here still have the infamous center vent not blowing problem? It only takes about 20 minutes, not the 8 hours of dashboard removal that I kept reading about on this forum.

My center vents work, but there is a "thumping" sound right behind the vents. It's kinda like a heartbeat. The thumping takes place about every 5 seconds. It is not too loud, but annoying.
