I recall somewhere that Sport models (or something like that) actually had more of a rubber-like rail instead of the funky metal-composite.

Any clue on that one? I hate the current metal-composite rails. They discolor. :(

On my Sport they are metal of some type - black originally I suspect but are now dark grey matching the roof rails.
