I have a aftermarket stereo with Bose amp and speaker on my 2000 c280.
When I go to turn on my radio a high pitch noise comes from the right front speaker and then some crackling noise and then the radio works but only the front right speaker and the 2 back small small ones work, but every time I go and turn on the radio the high pitch noise happens and only a couple speakers work. I was thinking some moisture got in the trunk and on the amp but I didn't find any moisture. Its been pretty stormy rainy weather up here in Washington.
Any thoughts on what it could be?

It could be your head unit and harness. Did you use a specific harness? Has this problem always happened with this setup or only recently?

It only happened recently I parked in the garage overnight to let it dry out to see if that did it anything and it works completely fine now , kind of weird but thanks for the reply!

Did you use a hi-lo signal converter for your headunit install? This converter will typically eliminate noise and generate a better signal conversion, particularly if still using the Bose amp.

Sounds like you have a water leak or moisture somewhere.

That's what I thought so I looked in the trunk where the amp is an I couldn't find any moisture I also looked I the car checked all the seals and the floors around the doors, bone dry. It maybe coming from the radio antenna?? I had to replace that like 2 years ago. But its been working fine since that day. the only issue now is when I turn up my volume really loud the right speaker (speaker that the high pitch noise was coming from) nw its kind of crackles and pops, but only when its really loud, so I might have to go replace that speaker.
