1997 C230 Turbo help

I have a 1997 C230 and want to install a turbo into it but I don't know where to start. I know that it would probably be more cost efficient to just buy a newer car but I have built a bond with mine and want to make it better. If someone else has already done this what kit did you use or what did you buy?
