Alright, I am now 9000 miles past due on my oil change...is that good or bad? J/K!! But, seriously I am 9000 over due, so I went to change my oil this weekend. WHERE IS THE STUPID OIL FILTER on a 98 C230?

are you sure its there, on my c230 its loacted towards the front of the engine, its a drop in cartridge type filter, extremely easy to acces. front drivers side of the engine, it has a black plastic cap about the diameter of a coffe mug

Yes it's in the front of the engine....easy as hell to pull off the cover, but try and get an oil filter wrench in there sucks!!!
