Chrome door handle shells

Forgive me if I'm in the wrong sub.

Hey everyone. I have a 2000 c230 kompressor black/black with chrome. I have the chrome shell handles on all four (4) doors. I wanted to know if there was a way to remove them. Please let me know ! Thanks !

the best way is to heat the actual chrome and use a thin string to peel it off and remove the adhesive with mentholated spirits
