A quick question about electric seats.

Do the switches in the doors connect directly to the seat motors, or do they use relays? Many thanks!

i dont want to make new toppic , will ask here .
i have an manual seats in my c280 , but want to but in electrical seats .
some cars have pre-wired the systems , does 202 have it also or do i have to make it my self ?

I am selling what I believe to be the original seats from a Euro 1980 e24 that I purchased several years ago. The seats were not in the car when I purchased it had sport seats in it. I sold the car about 4 years ago, but the buyer did not have room to take the extra original seats. My question is, Will these Euro seats work in all U.S. e24s without electric seats? I attached hopefully a picture for someone to confirm the likliehood that this is an original seat.
